We do this by using extraordinary people and flexible capital to help companies solve problems. Our $1.1 trillion in assets under management include investment vehicles focused on private equity, real estate, public debt and equity, infrastructure, life sciences, growth equity, opportunistic, non-investment grade credit, real assets and secondary funds, all on a global basis.

Job Description

This role involves working closely with the Equity Capital Markets (ECM) and Blackstone Multi-Strategy Investing (MSI) teams to originate, structure, value, hedge, and trade equity-linked securities, including convertible bonds and corporate derivatives. The position also requires collaboration with the broader MSI team on event-driven strategies, capital structure arbitrage, merger arbitrage, and liquid credit opportunities. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex transactions and collaborate across multiple teams to drive innovative solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Originate, structure, and execute transactions involving convertible bonds, corporate derivatives, and other equity-linked securities.
  • Leverage expertise in convertible bond valuation and trading to support deal execution and risk management.
  • Develop and implement hedging strategies for equity-linked securities to optimize risk-adjusted returns.
  • Collaborate with the MSI team to identify and execute opportunities in event-driven strategies, including merger arbitrage and capital structure arbitrage.
  • Work on liquid credit strategies, integrating equity-linked securities expertise with broader credit market opportunities.
  • Partner with ECM and MSI teams to align equity-linked securities strategies with broader investment objectives.
Qualifications

Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition to strong analytical and quantitative skills, the successful candidate should have:

  • 3+ years of experience in an equity capital markets role, specializing in convertible bonds and/or corporate derivatives.
  • Deep expertise in equity capital markets and a strong understanding of convertible bonds, derivatives, and event-driven strategies.
  • Capability to identify and capitalize on event-driven opportunities across equity-linked securities and broader capital markets.
  • Track record of working effectively across teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with strong ability to form professional relationships.

The duties and responsibilities described here are not exhaustive and additional assignments, duties, or responsibilities may be required of this position. Assignments, duties, and responsibilities may be changed at any time, with or without notice, by Blackstone in its sole discretion.

Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the role consist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s sole discretion.

Legal Disclosures and Required Licenses

Depending on the position, you may be required to obtain certain securities licenses if you are in a client facing role and/or if you are engaged in the following: Attending client meetings where you are discussing Blackstone products and/or client questions; marketing Blackstone funds to new or existing clients; supervising or training securities licensed employees; structuring or creating Blackstone funds/products; and advising on marketing plans prepared by a sales team or developing and/or contributing information for marketing materials.
