Job description

Sterling Search Partners is helping a growing client with its search for a Regional Vice President. The Regional Vice President is responsible for the overall performance, growth, and profitability of multiple markets within an assigned region. This role provides leadership to Market Presidents, General Managers, and operational teams while ensuring consistent execution of company standards, financial goals, safety requirements, and customer expectations.

The RVP is accountable for regional P&L performance, operational excellence, leadership development, and strategic growth. This position also partners with corporate leadership to implement company initiatives, improve performance, manage risk, and strengthen the organizationโ€™s leadership pipeline.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute regional strategies that support company growth and profitability.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability to Market Presidents, General Managers, and operational leaders.
  • Maintain responsibility for regional revenue, expenses, forecasting, and overall P&L performance.
  • Drive operational consistency, efficiency, safety, quality, and continuous improvement across all locations.
  • Identify opportunities for revenue growth, market expansion, cost control, and improved profitability.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing leaders while supporting succession planning.
  • Monitor KPIs and financial results and take corrective action when performance falls below expectations.
  • Serve as an executive-level contact for key customers, major contracts, and escalated issues.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, safety standards, and business ethics.
  • Partner with Finance, HR, Sales, Marketing, and other corporate departments to execute strategic initiatives.
  • Identify and manage operational and financial risks across the region.
  • Represent the company with customers, community leaders, regulatory agencies, and other external stakeholders.
  • Travel extensively throughout the region to support operations, leadership teams, customers, and strategic initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree required.
  • 8โ€“10 years of progressive leadership experience in operations, multi-location management, moving, logistics, or a related industry preferred.
  • Proven experience managing P&L performance and driving revenue and profitability.
  • Strong leadership, communication, financial, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience leading multiple locations, developing leaders, and managing organizational change.
  • Knowledge of safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements within the moving or logistics industry preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and other business reporting tools.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Must be willing to travel approximately 50โ€“70% of the time, including overnight travel.
