We are seeking an experienced and strategicHuman Resourcesleader to shape our organizational strategy, set the company-wide people strategy, lead the HR function, and help shape the culture of our organization. This key member of the executive leadership team is responsible for developing and executing human resource strategies that support our mission, values, growth, and business goals. This role encompasses all aspects of HR, including employee engagement, training and development, compensation, benefits, and compliance. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of strategic vision and hands-on start up leadership experience across Canada & the US to drive a high-performance, inclusive workplace culture. 

We are open to hiring at either the Director or Vice President level. The final title will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience, leadership scope, and demonstrated ability to build and scale a high- performing People function.

What you will do:
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute HR strategies that align with our mission and long-term growth plans. 

  • Workforce Planning & Organizational Development: Lead initiatives to foster leadership development, succession planning, and workforce planning to meet future business needs. 

  • Culture, Equity, & Engagement: Promote a workplace that is inclusive, high-performing, and rooted in psychological safety 

  • Recruitment and succession planning: Oversee hiring and succession pipeline. 

  • Performance Management & Total Rewards: Evolve performance management systems that reflect Promise Robotics' values of high performance, feedback, and continuous improvement. 

  • Training & Development: Oversee the development and delivery of training programs to enhance employee skills, leadership capabilities, and compliance awareness. 

  • Compensation & Benefits: Ensure competitive and equitable compensation structures, manage benefits programs, and evaluate market trends to attract and retain talent. 

  • Compliance, HR Systems & Reporting: Ensure organizational compliance with employment standards, health and safety regulations, and other legal requirements. 

  • Executive Collaboration: Act as a trusted advisor to the executive team, providing insights on organizational health, workforce trends, and change management. 

  • Conflict Resolution: Oversee the resolution of complex employee relations issues and implement policies to mitigate risks. 

  • Team leadership: Manage the internal and external global HR team 

What you will need to succeed:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. 

  • Current CHRL or CHRP designation 

  • 12 to 18+ years of progressive HR experience, with both start-up and large organization experience preferred, across Canada & the United States. 

  • Proven track record of supporting diverse and distributed teams across multiple offices in North America. 

  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations across Canada and the United States. 

  • Proven experience developing and implementing HR strategies in a fast-paced environment, preferably within the technology & manufacturing sectors. 

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. 

  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of an organization. 

  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and data analytics tools.
