Position Overview:
Reporting to the Americas CFO and partnering closely with the President for the U.S. Consumer business, this role will lead the U.S. Consumer Commercial Finance organization and partner with regional and segment leadership to deliver financial targets. It will serve as the Finance leader for the U.S. Consumer Americas Leadership Team to drive performance across the full P&L, provide timely analysis and insight, and ensure a strong controls environment for the region.
Lead core commercial finance activities, including customer and business-unit reporting and analysis, pricing governance, trade spend management and effectiveness, portfolio optimization, and advertising and promotion investment. Provide Finance Supply Chain accountability through indirect reporting lines to ensure end-to-end performance management.
Own budgeting, forecasting, and long-range strategic planning for the business, including acquisition due diligence and post-merger integration support. Represent total Americas Consumer results in partnership with Canada and LatAm finance leaders, providing end-to-end leadership across regional finance through indirect reporting lines to ensure an aligned, integrated approach to financial management.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with senior executives to set strategy and translate business priorities into actionable financial plans across business unit, customer, segment, and regional levels. Anticipate customer and market dynamics, support acquisition due diligence and integration, and raise financial acumen across cross-functional partners.
  • Lead the Finance function for the U.S. Consumer business, including organization design, talent development, and operating rhythm. Serve as a core member of the U.S. Consumer Leadership Team and the Americas Finance Leadership Team, ensuring alignment to enterprise priorities and consistent decision governance.
  • Own U.S. Consumer financial results through rigorous reporting, analysis, and performance management. Provide visibility to key drivers, deliver decision-grade insights, and build plans to achieve commitments and guidance across budgeting, forecasting, risk and opportunity assessment, strategic planning, acquisition reviews, and ad hoc analyses.
  • Influence commercial, supply chain, and procurement decisions to improve profitability and cash. Drive governance and accountability for pricing and trade spend; oversee advertising and promotion investment effectiveness; lead sales and marketing financial analysis; and manage inventory write-offs, risk reviews, and commodity inflation impacts to protect gross and operating margin performance.
  • Ensure a robust controls environment and SOX compliance for commercial finance activities. Design, implement, and continuously improve controls to safeguard the integrity of financial statements and strengthen the overall control environment.
  • Develop and lead a high-performing team through coaching, capability building, recognition, and engagement. Drive succession planning and organization design to enable growth, scale, and sustained performance.

Required Qualifications
  • BA in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
  • 15+ years total Financial experience. Proven leadership skills, including successfully attracting and developing talent and team-building cross-functional team management experience. In-depth understanding of external business environment, including customer and industry trends.
  • In-depth knowledge of internal business environment, including activities in other divisional support functions. Knowledgeable of Integrated Business Planning cycles.
  • Executive-level communicator who can synthesize complex information and translate it into clear, decision-grade insights. Demonstrated executive presence and the ability to influence without authority across a highly matrixed organization, align stakeholders, and drive timely decisions.
  • Proven people leader who coaches and develops talent through mentoring, performance management, and succession planning; comfortable partnering with senior leaders and auditors to ensure transparency, accountability, and effective governance.
  • Ability to handle complexity by integrating financial and non-financial inputs into clear implications and recommendations. Strong business judgment and analytical rigor; comfortable operating with ambiguity and competing priorities. Working knowledge of foreign currency and hedging concepts.

Base Salary: $200,280-360,470
Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick's Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan/ McCormick's Sales Incentive Bonus (SIB) Plan/ McCormick's Dividend Program.
