HMC Products, a division of ProMach, is focused on producing world-class packaging equipment for a global customer base. We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Operations excited to lead our organization through the next phase of growth. The Vice President of Operations will be responsible for providing direction and daily oversight of cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality packaging equipment on time and within budget, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and safety. In this high-impact role, you'll drive operational excellence to ensure achievement of business goals and customer expectations.

  • Increase the profitability, productivity, and efficiency of HMC operations through excellent execution, staffing, and performance management to achieve continuous growth year after year.
  • Create and lead a culture of continuous improvement by introducing process improvements and KPI's to monitor progress and success.
  • Work closely with the VP/GM on manufacturing & engineering plans, goals and project innovations to ensure a competitive market position and product profitability.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across ProMach and ensure best practices are shared and implemented.
  • Interface directly with customers and vendors as needed to support business.
  • Provide leadership, communication, and coaching to team members.
  • Develop and communicate individual growth paths for team members.
  • Promote and instill a strong quality culture to exceed customer expectations.
  • Communicate with leadership and team members to ensure alignment to schedules and agreed upon company objectives.
  • Utilize Lean tools to provide a visual workflow, including a visible working schedule and celebrations of successful continuous improvements.
  • Work with the leadership team and employees to ensure a culture of "safety first" and compliance with all local, state, and federal laws.
  • Drive accountability, performance management, and team development.
  • Serve as a senior advisor to internal departments and a point of escalation for key issues.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or applicable discipline required, Master's degree preferred.
  • 8-10 years' manufacturing/operations experience, with proven success in a related leadership position in an automation manufacturing environment; knowledge and experience in Packaging Machinery preferred.
  • Proven track record of strong managerial expertise involving manufacturing-based problem solving, personnel management, and employee morale development.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills (both written and oral) to ensure successful interactions within all levels of the ProMach organization.
  • Demonstrated success meeting and exceeding goals, change management, and maintaining composure under pressure.
  • Experience with Six Sigma and/or Lean process with a demonstrated ability to reduce cost and improve efficiency.
  • Strong knowledge of financial metrics including revenue recognition principles, product costs and margins, and labor absorption.
  • Results-oriented, self-motivated, with the demonstrated ability to lead, coach and inspire others.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel software applications and knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.

Base Salary Range: $150,000-$175,000; Potential Bonus Opportunity: $35,000 - 40,000
