AVP/VP Onsite Delivery - Telecom

Persistent Systems is hiring an experienced AVP/VP Onsite Delivery - Telecom to manage and grow strategic engagements with a key client in the Communications & Technology space. This role will act as the face of Persistent at the client location, driving delivery excellence, strengthening executive relationships, and enabling high-impact programs across networking, cloud, and digital platforms. The ideal candidate brings strong delivery leadership, deep understanding of client's ecosystem, and experience managing large-scale, global programs.

Client Engagement & Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary onsite leader and trusted advisor for Client stakeholders
  • Build strong relationships with engineering leaders, product owners, and business teams
  • Align delivery with Client's priorities across networking, cloud, security, and platform engineering
  • Identify opportunities for account expansion, innovation, and value creation
Program & Delivery Leadership
  • Own end-to-end delivery of complex programs involving distributed onsite-offshore teams
  • Drive execution across product engineering, platform development, cloud, and data initiatives
  • Ensure delivery meets quality, timelines, and cost expectations
  • Establish strong governance, risk mitigation, and escalation mechanisms
Client Ecosystem & Domain Alignment
  • Leverage understanding of Client technologies (networking, enterprise platforms, security, observability)
  • Work closely with client teams on product development, system integration, and platform modernization
  • Support solutioning for initiatives around cloud-native architectures, APIs, automation, and AI-led operations
Team Leadership & Collaboration
  • Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, QA, DevOps, and data
  • Act as a bridge between Client stakeholders and offshore delivery teams
  • Mentor delivery managers and ensure high performance and engagement
Financial & Commercial Management
  • Own engagement financials, including forecasting, revenue tracking, and margin management
  • Ensure compliance with contracts, SLAs, and billing milestones
  • Drive efficiency and optimization across delivery
Operational Excellence & Governance
  • Implement best practices in Agile/SAFe delivery models
  • Track KPIs, delivery metrics, and customer satisfaction
  • Ensure adherence to Persistent's delivery frameworks and Client's governance expectations
Required
  • 20+ years of Onsite Delivery Leadership experience in CMT (Telecom, Media, Tech) domain
  • Manage CXO, VP, Director level stakeholders of Tier1 Telcos, Tech companies
  • Handle Delivery Governance, Program Management, CSAT for key accounts directly
  • Drive Farming growth (Delivery Lead Growth) and support Sales in new wins
  • AI Adoption is super critical, Should have experience in running AI Lead engineering and Business solutions
  • Work with Offshore Delivery Leaders very closely and should have managed onsite teams
  • Should have done win to fulfilment of large deals or key deals for accounts under him
  • Experience in Product Engineering for Telecom domain (4G/5G Core, RAN, AIOps, OSS/Service Assurance, Network Security, Full Stack Apps)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience working with Client or similar networking/technology companies
  • Exposure to cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), microservices, APIs, and DevOps
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, security, and observability platforms
  • Certifications like PMP, SAFe, or Agile Scrum
