Job Description

This position is not just about running plants—it is about building a scalable, resilient global operations engine that enables AMC and AMETEK to win in highly regulated, high value medical markets.

The Divisional Vice President of Operations (DVP Operations) is a key senior leader responsible for end to end global operations across the Advanced Medical Components business. This role leads Safety, Quality, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Continuous Improvement, Engineering, and Supply Chain across a multi site, international footprint.

The DVP Operations is accountable for delivering sustainable, profitable growth while ensuring world class safety performance, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction. As a highly visible leader within both the Business Unit and AMETEK Corporation, this role sets the operational standard and drives alignment with long term strategic objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities Operational Leadership & Safety
  • Champion a zero injury safety culture and ensure full compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations across all locations.
  • Lead global operations spanning six U.S. plants, Mexico, and Taiwan, with direct responsibility for Plant Managers, Engineering leaders, and the Supply Chain organization.
  • Establish clear accountability and execution discipline to consistently achieve operational, financial, and quality targets.
Strategy, Growth & Execution
  • Define and execute Plant Operations strategies that support profitable growth, capacity expansion, and entry into new markets.
  • Enable new product development and sustaining engineering across the AMC Business Unit, ensuring speed to market, design robustness, and manufacturability.
  • Partner with Sales & Marketing to align operations capabilities with commercial strategy and customer commitments.
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
  • Drive a culture of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement, improving quality, reducing cost, and enhancing on time delivery.
  • Standardize best practices across sites, eliminate redundancy, and scale processes to improve efficiency and agility.
  • Establish and maintain robust capacity planning and resource alignment to support demand variability and growth.
Supply Chain & Capital Stewardship
  • Create and continuously improve best in class strategic sourcing and supply chain capabilities across the Business Unit.
  • Own capital investment strategy and execution, ensuring Capital Appropriation Requests meet ROI and strategic objectives.
  • Support plant leadership in implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programs to protect uptime, assets, and performance.
People & Leadership Development
  • Assess, develop, and strengthen the Operations leadership team through objective talent evaluation, succession planning, and targeted development.
  • Build a high performance culture rooted in accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning.
  • Lead with humility, integrity, and a hands on mindset—engaged at all levels of the organization.
Business Management & Reporting
  • Provide accurate and timely forecasts, operating plans, budgets, and performance reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual).
  • Translate data into insight to guide decision making and course correction across the organization.
Position Requirements
  • Proven expertise in multi site plant management and operational leadership.
  • Significant global manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive business experience, including at least 3 years in a comparable senior operational leadership role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; MBA or Master’s in Engineering strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success growing operations organically, scaling capacity, and entering new markets.
  • Strong background in asset management, budgeting, and profit plan attainment.
  • Ability to simplify complex organizations, eliminate redundancy, and drive enterprise alignment.
  • Thrives in a lean, performance driven culture with high expectations and autonomy.
  • High personal accountability; places team success above individual recognition.
  • Confident, credible, and approachable—comfortable engaging at the shop floor or executive level.
  • High integrity, strong work ethic, and respect for people at all levels.
  • Executive presence and judgment to engage effectively with senior customers and corporate leaders.
