Job description

Position Summary

The Sr. Vice-President Financial Accounting (SVP), serves as an integral member of the senior accounting management team and is responsible for the development of the Company's financial management strategy and contribution to the development of the organization's strategic goals. The SVP provides leadership and coordination of the company's financial planning, recordkeeping and ensures that company accounting procedures and reporting conform to generally

accepted accounting principles. Additionally, individuals in this role manage risk and implement best business practices for systems and controls.

What you will do

  • Prepare Financial Analysis for Contract Negotiations and Investment Decisions

  • Ensure Compliance with Local, State, and Federal Financial Reporting Requirements

  • Oversee Preparation of Monthly Financial Statements and Ensure their Accuracy and Timeliness via month end close.

  • Work closely with SVP FP&A to ensure financial statement variances are identified and explained

  • Participate in the annual budgeting process.

  • Ensure Complete and Up-to-Date Operating Procedures for all Accounting and Financial Controls

  • Ensure Proper Preparation for Annual Financial Audit in coordination with the Chief Financial Officer.

  • Communicate Business Plans and Procedures to all Staff Management

  • Participate in the Selection of Staff with Human Resources Department

  • Evaluate Staff Regarding Performance and Quality Standards

  • Conduct Salary and Performance Reviews of Departmental Staff

  • May Develop Business Requirements, Approve Specifications, Document Procedures and Processes, Test

  • Transactions, and Assist in Implementation as Team Leader/Project Manager on Cross-Functional IT/Business

  • Teams Developing Financial Systems or Financial Accounting Transactions and Controls within Administrative Systems

  • Train and delegate general accounting processes to Assistant Controller and Senior Accounting Team.

  • Ensure all Balance sheet Reconciliations are completed timely and accurately.

  • Oversees the Accounts Receivable. Treasury, Cash management, Invoicing, general ledger and Accounts Payable Functions

  • Additional Duties, as assigned

What you will bring

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent - 15+ Years' Experience managing Accounting Departments.

  • CPA/MBA, Preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office,

  • NetSuite experience Preferred

  • Strong internal/external Customer Service Focus

  • Clear Verbal and Written Communication Skills

  • Strong Attention to Detail

  • Ability to Work in Fast-Paced Environment and Meet Deadlines (i.e. strong sense of urgency)
