Executive Leadership | Institutional Capital Raising | Infrastructure & Project Finance

Position Overview

BaRupOn is seeking a seasoned Vice President of Strategic Fundraising & Global Finance to lead institutional capital strategy, global fundraising initiatives, and cross-border financial structuring for large-scale infrastructure and industrial projects.

This executive will drive capital formation across equity, debt, structured finance, and blended finance vehicles, while managing relationships with development finance institutions (DFIs), multilateral banks, sovereign wealth funds, private equity, family offices, and ESG-focused institutional investors.

The role will align long-term global capital strategy with project finance needs across infrastructure assets including energy facilities, advanced manufacturing, compounding pharmacies, and large-scale industrial development.

Core ResponsibilitiesInstitutional Capital Strategy & Fundraising
  • Design and execute institutional fundraising strategies across private equity, structured debt, project finance, mezzanine, and blended finance vehicles

  • Structure and optimize capital stacks for infrastructure, energy, healthcare manufacturing, and industrial projects

  • Lead equity and debt negotiations with institutional investors, DFIs, sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, family offices, and impact investors

  • Develop public-private partnership (PPP) and ESG-aligned financing strategies

Global Investor & Financial Institution Relations
  • Build and maintain relationships with international banks, export credit agencies, development finance institutions, and multilateral lenders

  • Engage with institutions such as U.S. EXIM, U.S. DFC, IFC, AfDB, World Bank affiliates, and similar global capital providers

  • Represent BaRupOn at global finance summits, infrastructure investment forums, and institutional investor meetings

Financial Structuring & Deal Execution
  • Lead financial due diligence, valuation modeling (DCF, IRR, NPV), and transaction structuring

  • Develop investor-ready pitch decks, private placement memoranda (PPMs), CIMs, and pro forma financial models

  • Structure cross-border transactions incorporating FX risk mitigation, sovereign guarantees, and credit enhancement tools

  • Collaborate with legal, compliance, and tax advisors to structure compliant global offerings

Capital Pipeline & Reporting
  • Manage fundraising pipeline tracking through CRM platforms such as Affinity, Carta, HubSpot, or Salesforce

  • Report capital commitments, investor engagement metrics, and financial projections to executive leadership and board members

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, International Business, or related field (MBA, CFA preferred)

  • 10+ years of experience in institutional fundraising, infrastructure finance, global project finance, or capital markets

  • Demonstrated experience raising institutional capital for infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, or industrial projects

  • Deep understanding of:

    • Project finance structures

    • Public-private partnerships (PPP)

    • Blended finance models

    • Impact investing frameworks

    • ESG and climate-aligned capital strategies

  • Proven experience negotiating with international stakeholders and government-backed financial institutions

  • Advanced financial modeling expertise (capital stack modeling, valuation, sensitivity analysis)

  • Strong executive-level negotiation and investor presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with EXIM Bank, U.S. DFC, IFC, AfDB, World Bank, or similar multilateral institutions

  • Background in managing cross-border capital risk, FX hedging strategies, and sovereign credit structures

  • Track record of closing $50M+ institutional or infrastructure transactions

  • Experience in clean energy, advanced manufacturing, pharmaceutical or health infrastructure development

  • Multilingual proficiency or demonstrated business experience in Africa, Asia, or Latin America
