Job description

Description

Direct Edge is seeking a hands-on Vice President, Controller to join our leadership team as we enter our next phase of growth and transformation.

This isn't a traditional Controller role. We're looking for a finance leader who can think strategically while staying close to the business- someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and building the infrastructure needed to support growth. In this highly visible role, you'll partner closely with executive leadership to strengthen the finance function, lead a major ERP transformation, and help position the organization for its next chapter. If you're energized by building scalable infrastructure, driving meaningful change, and helping organizations reach their full potential, we'd love to hear from you.

In this role you'll

Lead accounting and finance across a growing, multi-state organization

Strengthen reporting, forecasting, and cash flow visibility

Partner with operations and sales to improve profitability and decision-making

Develop and lead a high-performing finance team

Lead the transition from our current ERP platform to a new enterprise system, guiding the organization through a critical transformation

Requirements

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field required; CPA strongly preferred

10- 15 years of progressive finance leadership experience in manufacturing, printing, packaging, distribution, logistics, or similarly complex environments

Strong experience in operational finance, cost accounting, cash flow management, and business analytics

Demonstrated success leading growth, transformation, ERP implementations, and process improvement initiatives

Experience operating within multi-entity, multi-state organizations and partnering across functions to drive business performance

A hands-on leadership style with the ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution

Location & Compensation

Southern California based, with periodic travel to our California, Texas, and Colorado.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $210,000-$250,000 annually. Actual compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors. This position is also eligible for a target annual bonus opportunity of 20-30%, in addition to a competitive benefits and total rewards package.
