Senior Distribution Center Manager

This role will report to the VP of Operations

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the Operations, Logistics, and Program Management activities associated with the assigned Distribution Center to ensure on-time and accurate receiving, storage, and delivery of products.
  • This person will work very closely with the Service Center Managers and Program/Operations personnel at each location to ensure product transfers are timely, complete and accurate.
  • Work with the Regional management team to ensure alignment with regional and corporate objectives.
  • Provide leadership to the Warehouse Managers and operations staff to implement best practices, improve efficiencies, and facilitate operational continuous improvement projects.
  • Support program optimization activities for Vendor Managed Inventory programs across the region.
  • Coordinate with Sales and Supply Chain to ensure that optimal inventory levels are maintained for program customers and that slow moving and obsolete material is addressed appropriately.
  • Support and/or manage significant operations projects such as customer launches, program implementations, and expansion or reduction of operating facilities to support regional branch activity.
  • Responsible for the facility maintenance, repairs, and improvements.
  • Support ERP system and process changes as DC and Operations SME.
  • Other duties as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of five years of Distribution/Warehousing management experience.
  • Minimum of five years of experience with VMI, Kan-Ban, or other inventory systems requiring a triggered replenishment from a warehouse infrastructure.
  • A working knowledge of inventory management (APICS certification a plus)
  • Experience with KPI's and operational financials.
  • Experience working within an ISO, TS, or equivalent Quality Management System.
  • Experience with assembly and kitting processes.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and processes.
  • Experience with facility management.
  • Experience with fasteners and fastener quality standards strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual - English/Spanish required

Base Salary Target: $90,000 - 110,000
