Senior Vice President, Distribution

Reports To: Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Great West is seeking a strategic, results-driven Senior Vice President of Distribution to lead our distribution organization and drive profitable premium growth across our markets. This executive leadership role is responsible for defining and executing the company's distribution strategy, overseeing strategic partnerships, strengthening agency relationships, and ensuring alignment between distribution initiatives and company objectives.
The SVP of Distribution will play a critical role in advancing Great West's goals for growth, profitability, and service excellence while building a high-performing culture focused on accountability, innovation, and customer success.
What You'll Do
As the Senior Vice President of Distribution, you will:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive distribution strategy aligned with corporate growth and profitability objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing distribution organization that fosters accountability, collaboration, and exceptional customer service.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand market penetration and optimize distribution channel performance.
  • Establish annual premium growth objectives and drive execution across the organization.
  • Collaborate with Product Tower leadership to expand product offerings, strengthen value propositions, and capture new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with agency partners and key distribution stakeholders.
  • Serve as a senior company representative with top distribution partners, ensuring long-term success and alignment of mutual business goals.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators that measure distribution effectiveness, channel profitability, and return on investment.
  • Drive profitable premium growth through production targets, pipeline management, and sales performance accountability.
  • Utilize data, analytics, and technology to improve sales execution, partner engagement, and operating efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance, governance, and ethical standards are maintained across all distribution activities.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, agency functions, and state trucking association meetings to strengthen brand presence and relationships.

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in distribution, sales, or business development within the insurance industry.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to influence executive stakeholders and align technology with organizational objectives.
  • Experience managing complex distribution channels, budgets, and strategic initiatives.
  • Property & Casualty insurance or specialty lines experience preferred.
