Day to day, you’ll be tasked with:

  • Shaping and articulating a clear strategic vision that aligns creativity, data, and cultural relevance to drive brand growth.

  • Driving deep understanding of people, culture, and context — turning insights into ideas that resonate emotionally and drive action.
  • Advocating for the consumer’s voice at every stage of the brand journey
  • Leading the charge to create and champion our own original organizing ideas, and reducing our reliance on activating those of other agencies
  • Partnering with Data & Analytics teams to bring performance and behavioral insights into brand storytelling.
  • Measuring the impact of brand work through effectiveness frameworks, KPIs, and cultural traction.
  • Representing the agency’s strategic voice externally — through pitches, conferences, and thought leadership.
  • Managing and mentoring mid-level planners and rising Brand Strategy talent
  • Serving as both an anchor and springboard for the other strategic capabilities: Marketing, Media & Strategy & Analysis
  • Acting as Guardian angel for Relationship Leads, a trusted partner to Clients, and an ally for New Business
Qualifications

We’re looking for a Vice President/ Director with outstanding experience that includes:

  • A four year college degree and 10 to 12 years of experience in account planning/brand strategy, preferably in an advertising agency
  • A knack for finding ‘real’ insights and presenting them in a way that inspires creative
  • Keen ability to navigate originating ideas/brand experiences
  • A collaborative spirit, shepherding solutions through with other strategists and agency partners
  • Willingness to roll up the sleeves to help bring great ideas to life
  • Proven influence at the CMO level and beyond
  • Persuasiveness and the confidence to excite clients to buy into powerful ideas
  • A reputation for being exceptionally insightful, enterprising, articulate and convincing
  • The wisdom and patience to not try and boil an ocean: This is about changing a large business from within
  • Willingness to travel as needed – you’re open to new places, new faces and new ideas
  • Familiarity with prompt-based interaction and commonly used generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Google Gemini, DALL·E, Midjourney) is a plus, especially for tasks like ideation, research, or content generation.
