Job Description
As Vice President/ Director of Brand Strategy, you'll take ownership in driving the impact of our business, leading the charge for us to become a more influential partner to CMOs and CEOs through the quality of our ideas and our creative work.
Responsibilities
Day to day, you'll be tasked with:
  • Shaping and articulating a clear strategic vision that aligns creativity, data, and cultural relevance to drive brand growth.
  • Translating business challenges into actionable brand platforms that drive measurable results.
  • Overseeing strategy across Brand, Digital, Comms, and Media to ensure consistency and connection throughout the brand experience.
  • Partnering with the Creative Director and providing inspiration for the Creative Department
  • Championing the fusion of creativity and intelligence - ensuring every idea is emotionally powerful and strategically sound.
  • Driving deep understanding of people, culture, and context - turning insights into ideas that resonate emotionally and drive action.
  • Advocating for the consumer's voice at every stage of the brand journey
  • Leading the charge to create and champion our own original organizing ideas, and reducing our reliance on activating those of other agencies
  • Partnering with Data & Analytics teams to bring performance and behavioral insights into brand storytelling.
  • Measuring the impact of brand work through effectiveness frameworks, KPIs, and cultural traction.
  • Representing the agency's strategic voice externally - through pitches, conferences, and thought leadership.
  • Managing and mentoring mid-level planners and rising Brand Strategy talent
  • Serving as both an anchor and springboard for the other strategic capabilities: Marketing, Media & Strategy & Analysis
  • Acting as Guardian angel for Relationship Leads, a trusted partner to Clients, and an ally for New Business

Qualifications
We're looking for a Vice President/ Director with outstanding experience that includes:
  • A four year college degree and 10 to 12 years of experience in account planning/brand strategy, preferably in an advertising agency
  • A knack for finding 'real' insights and presenting them in a way that inspires creative
  • Keen ability to navigate originating ideas/brand experiences
  • A collaborative spirit, shepherding solutions through with other strategists and agency partners
  • Willingness to roll up the sleeves to help bring great ideas to life
  • Proven influence at the CMO level and beyond
  • Persuasiveness and the confidence to excite clients to buy into powerful ideas
  • A reputation for being exceptionally insightful, enterprising, articulate and convincing
  • The wisdom and patience to not try and boil an ocean: This is about changing a large business from within
  • Willingness to travel as needed - you're open to new places, new faces and new ideas
  • Familiarity with prompt-based interaction and commonly used generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Google Gemini, DALL• E, Midjourney) is a plus, especially for tasks like ideation, research, or content generation.

Compensation Range: USD $129,485.00 - USD $177,200.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
