Trusted advisor to our Travel and Accident & Health business units, partnering closely with leadership to guide product development, regulatory strategy, commercial distribution, marketing, and claims; Key role in enabling Arch's travel protection plans, travel medical assistance services, and specialty A&H offerings.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Work crossfunctionally with leaders in compliance, operations, product development, and technology to support initiatives that modernize and enhance our insurance offerings.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of insurancerelated agreements, including vendor contracts, distribution agreements, and program agreements.

  • Monitor and interpret evolving state and federal insurance regulations, helping business partners anticipate changes and adapt proactively.

  • Support innovation efforts by advising on new products, digital tools, and emerging business models within the Travel and A&H space.

  • Contribute to a collaborative legal culture that values knowledgesharing, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Strong commercial contracting, negotiation, and communication skills.

  • Experience in insurance regulatory /compliance or personal/quasi-personal lines, transactional, or corporate matters.

  • Exceptional diligence and analytical skills.

  • A practical, businessoriented mindset with the ability to balance legal risk with operational and strategic realities and translate legal requirements into clear actionable guidance.

  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to influence across functions.

  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to explore new approaches in a rapidly evolving insurance landscape.

  • Capability to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, extract data from various sources, analyze data to derive insights, compile data from various sources, and meaningfully interpret and present the findings clearly and concisely through reports, dashboards, or presentations to support making effective decisions.

  • Demonstrated understanding of the insurance regulatory environment.

  • Experience interfacing effectively with all levels of management and with both internal and external constituents.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic developing environment.

  • Occasional travel to alternate office locations may be required.

Desired Skills and Abilities

  • Background in Travel or Accident & Health products.

  • Knowledge of Travel & A&H ecosystems, distribution models, regulatory frameworks, and compliance.

  • Experience with digital distribution, affiliate marketing, or embedded insurance.

Education/Experience

  • Juris Doctor (JD) and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

  • 10+ years of relevant legal experience (inhouse or major law firm).

For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.

$200,000 - $270,000/year

  • Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
