POSITION OVERVIEW
Job Summary
The VP of Rehab Operations drives clinical, financial, and operational performance across a multi facility region while mentoring field leaders and ensuring high quality patient care. The role strengthens customer relationships, oversees staffing and business development, and leads contract start ups, performance reviews, and operational improvement initiatives, while collaborating with senior leadership on budgeting, strategy, and company wide success.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Drives operational, financial, and clinical success across designated practices.
• Mentors Area Managers and directors to achieve optimal clinical and operational outcomes.
• Oversees the Direct Bill book of business, ensuring strong clinical, operational, and financial performance across outpatient therapy services.
• Applies expertise in outpatient therapy regulations, credentialing, home health, and wellness programs to ensure compliance, support program growth, and maintain high standards of patient care.
• Visits assigned facilities quarterly and remains accessible to field leaders via phone and email.
• Meets with key facility leadership during visits and provides ongoing remote support.
• Ensures patient needs are met, documentation is complete, and operations run efficiently.
• Contacts campus administration quarterly to review rehab performance and satisfaction.
• Conducts quarterly business reviews with customers.
• Supports program growth, caseload expansion, and business development initiatives.
• Optimizes staffing coordination across facilities to maximize efficiency.
• Participates in meetings with potential customers to advance new business.
• Leads start up activities for new contracts.
• Interviews, hires, and orients new Area Managers and directors.
• Oversees monthly clinical operations reviews for all designated facilities.
• Completes annual performance reviews for Area Managers and directors.
• Contributes to senior management functions to ensure company wide success.
• Collaborates with the SVP-Rehab Operations to develop regional operating and capital budgets.
• Ensures regional staffing, director supervision, and leadership development.
• Develops performance improvement and corrective action plans as needed.
• Builds strong relationships with client administration to support long term partnerships.
• Coordinates with Clinical Support teams on denial and ADR processes.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: Degree in Physical/ Occupational Therapy, or Physical/ Occupational Therapy Assistant, or Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
Experience: 8-12 years
Licenses and Certifications
Master's degree preferred
Physical Requirements
Sitting, standing, bending, reaching, stretching, stooping, walking, and moving intermittently during working hours. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs. Must be able to maintain verbal and written communication with co-workers, supervisors, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and all business associates outside of the health campus.
