Job description

Job Purpose:
- The Vice President of Building Services at Lifestream Behavioral Center is responsible for overseeing and managing the facility's infrastructure and maintenance operations. This role ensures that all building systems and services are functioning efficiently and effectively to support the center's mission of providing quality behavioral health services. The VP will lead strategic planning for facility management, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and optimizing the use of resources to enhance the center's operational capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for building services that align with the center's overall objectives and mission.
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems, ensuring they are functioning optimally.
- Lead and manage a team of building services professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluation to ensure high standards of service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting regular audits and inspections to maintain safety standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to support their facility needs and ensure that building services contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the center's operations.
- Manage budgets for building services, monitoring expenditures and optimizing resource allocation to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized services, ensuring that all work is completed to the required standards and within budget.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for building services, ensuring consistency and adherence to best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality and efficiency of building services.
- Prepare and present reports to senior management on the status of building services, including performance metrics, budget updates, and strategic recommendations.

Required Education:
- Associates degree or trade school certification required.
- Bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, or related field highly preferred.
- Relevant certifications in Engineering, Facilities Management, or Related field highly preferred (CHFM, CFM, CPMM, or PE).
Required Experience:
- Five (5) years related in Engineering, Facilities Management, Safety and Operations within a healthcare/behavioral health environment with minimum of three (3) years in a leadership role required.ย 
- Environmental Services (Housekeeping), and five years' experience as a Safety Director required.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong leadership and strategic planning skills with the ability to drive organizational change and improve operational efficiency.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders, external partners, and regulatory bodies.
- Proficient in facilities management software and other relevant technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
