Responsibilities

The Vice President of Business Development and Premium Ticketing is responsible for creating standards and goals that support department/organizational objectives and the departmentโ€™s business plan. This position will craft a new-business sales strategy specifically to increase partnership revenue and premium ticket sales for all Miller Sports + Entertainment entities. By infusing innovation and accountability, they will manage, partner with, and mentor employees to drive sales and hit annual business plan targets. The role champions the companyโ€™s Mission and Vision and models the company Values.

The position will:

  • Lead the new business development team in partnership sales for all properties that are a part of the MSE platform including Real Salt Lake, Utah Royals, Monarchs, Salt Lake Bees, and Megaplex.
  • Drive revenue through new business partnerships, corporate partner assets and premium seating managing the end-to-end sales process for all these functions.
  • Manage all sponsorships and partnership inventory across all properties through use of CRM and working closely with the other department Vice Presidents.
  • Partner with the VP of Ticketing, VP of Revenue Strategy, and VP of Corporate Partnerships to align premium sales strategy, pipeline management, and sales execution.
  • Help in the coordination and execution of successful client meetings through discovery, pitch, and contract negotiations, including the creation and building of sponsorship packages.
  • Coordinate closely with the VP of Corporate Partnerships/Partnership Marketing to ensure all contractual obligations are met, partnership onboarding.
  • Oversee the sale process for premium hospitality and corporate premium seating, ensuring strong alignment with business development goals.
  • Lead and mentor team members with clear goals, accountability, and coaching tied to annual business plan targets.
  • Transition business accounts to the appropriate internal teams for ongoing service, fulfillment, activation, and account management support.

  • Develop and refine premium sales channel strategies, including single-game premium opportunities and corporate event inventory management.

  • Manage and track all account history, relationship details, and partnership activation details while building recaps for advertisers that demonstrate measurable results.
  • Protect the moral, legal, and financial assets and wellbeing of the company, and work with other LHM entities on contract fulfillment.

Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in partnership marketing/service, brand marketing, sponsor marketing, sports property, agency, event marketing, advertising and/or promotion.
  • A record of successfully providing client service and contractual fulfillment for multiple accounts with a history of delivering a return on their investment.
  • Excellent written, oral, and in-person communication skills.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
  • Must be able to communicate in English.
  • This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally.
  • This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate and assess.
