Position Description

The New Store Opening (NSO) & Operations Excellence Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all aspects of new stand openings while ensuring operational excellence. This individual serves as a hands-on operational leader who develops teams, trains leaders, supports existing operations, and partners closely with the Vice President to execute strategic initiatives.

This role requires extensive travel, exceptional leadership skills, strong organizational ability, and a willingness to jump into any operational challenge. During periods between new store openings, this individual will provide operational support, interim leadership, coaching, and project management across the organization.

The ideal candidate is someone who is energized by building rather than simply maintaining operations. They thrive in new environments, enjoy solving complex operational challenges, and are equally comfortable coaching a new Stand General Manager, working a shift in the stand, or partnering with executives on strategic initiatives. They are highly organized, adaptable, and driven by helping others succeed while maintaining exceptional operational standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Leads all operational aspects of new stand openings
  • Develops, coordinates and executes opening timelines and cross-functional opening activities to ensure operational readiness prior to opening day
  • Partners with construction, facilities, HR, recruiting, training, and marketing
  • Supports hiring and onboarding efforts
  • Leads grand opening execution and identifies risks to proactively solve problems
  • Conducts opening readiness assessments and pivots where necessary
  • Transitions new stores successfully to Area Directors
  • Manages, develops and coaches Stand General Managers and Assistant Managers
  • Trains Brew Crew on brand standards
  • Reinforces culture and leadership expectations through presentations, meetings and via one-on-one in the stands
  • Ensures consistent operational execution
  • Evaluates leadership readiness before opening

During and in between openings, this role will:

  • Serve as interim operational leader when needed
  • Cover Stand General Manager vacancies
  • Support Area Directors during staffing challenges

Physical Standards

  • Ability to comply with all safety and sanitation requirements, including an ability to be exposed to and work with disinfectant cleaning supplies throughout entire shift
