OSP Plow Operator

Location: 100% Travel (Nationwide Project Assignments)

Employment Type: Full-Time


About the Role:

We're hiring an experienced OSP (Outside Plant) Plow Operator to join a growing underground construction crew installing fiber optic and telecommunications cable across the country. This is a hands-on, high-demand role for someone who takes pride in operating heavy equipment with precision and wants to be part of the infrastructure that powers America's broadband and telecom networks.


What You'll Do:

  • Operate cable plow equipment to bury fiber optic, copper, and telecommunications cable
  • Read and follow route maps, staking, and locate markings to ensure accurate cable placement
  • Identify and avoid underground utilities using locate tickets and site markings
  • Perform daily pre- and post-operation equipment inspections and basic maintenance
  • Coordinate with crew leads and other operators to keep projects on schedule
  • Maintain a clean, safe job site and follow all OSHA and company safety protocols
  • Travel to project sites across multiple states as assignments require


What We're Looking For:

  • 1+ years of experience operating a cable plow (vibratory plow experience strongly preferred)
  • Working knowledge of underground utility locating and damage prevention practices
  • Valid driver's license; CDL a plus
  • Ability to read route maps, prints, and staking instructions
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and terrain
  • Strong safety mindset and reliability
  • Willingness and ability to travel 100% of the time, including extended stays
