Extant Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Trauma Surgeon to join our dynamic surgical team at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive trauma care and perform emergency surgeries, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Trauma Program:
  • 590-bed Acute Care Facility
  • Level I Trauma Center (ACS & State Verified)
  • Hybrid OR (16 surgical suites, includes 1 designated for trauma)
  • 32 bed open ICU (16 surg + 16 medical)
  • HCA hospital network of 5 hospitals funnels into Research MC
  • Trauma activations avg 3000/ yr (20% penetrating)
  • General Surgery Residency with teaching opportunities
  • Clinical Research opportunities

Trauma Surgeon Criteria:
  • Board Certified Surgery with Trauma/Surgical Critical Care Fellowship required
