Job description

Earn a $100 bonus and up to $30/hr (net) for driving in Newark, NJ!

Drive with Via in Newark, NJ โ€“ Only 4-Door Vehicles, No Trucks | Weekend-Only Service

Via uses app-based technology to make transportation more efficient. We are reinventing shared rides to help reduce congestion, lower emissions, and get passengers to their destinations efficiently. In Newark, we are working with the City of Newark to offer an on-demand ridesharing service. We are partnering with independent contractor Driver Partners who will be able to use the Via Platform to connect with riders.

Service Schedule

This service only operates on weekends:

โ—      Friday: 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM

โ—      Saturday: 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM

โ—      Sunday: 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM

Driver & Vehicle Requirements

To be eligible to operate on the Via Platform in Newark, you must:
โœ” Have a valid driverโ€™s license
โœ” Be 25 years of age or older
โœ” Have at least 1 year of driving history
โœ” Have a personal auto insurance policy
โœ” Have a 2015 or newer vehicle that is a 4-door sedan or SUV (No trucks permitted)
โœ” Pass a vehicle inspection
โœ” Pass a background check, including criminal and motor vehicle record checks (SSN required)
