Position Summary - 7pm to 7am (Night Shift)

The highest technical level within the maintenance department. Tier 1 technicians are subject matter experts capable of troubleshooting, repairing, programming, and improving all plant systems with minimal supervision. They lead complex repairs, mentor other technicians, and drive reliability improvements throughout the facility.

Required Technical Skills

Electrical Systems

  • Advanced troubleshooting of 24VDC, 120VAC, 240VAC, and 480VAC systems
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Troubleshoot motor starters, contactors, overloads, relays, and transformers
  • Troubleshoot and repair VFDs and servo systems
  • Perform advanced electrical diagnostics using meters and testing equipment
  • Troubleshoot communication networks and control wiring

PLC & Controls

  • PLC troubleshooting and diagnostics
  • Online monitoring of PLC programs
  • Force inputs and outputs when authorized
  • Modify PLC logic when approved
  • Troubleshoot HMI systems
  • Troubleshoot Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, and industrial communication networks
  • Configure and troubleshoot sensors and instrumentation

Motors & Drives
