Madison Veterinary Specialists is growing, and we’re looking for an exceptional Small Animal Internist who wants more than simply their next position.

Minimum Qualifications

• Board-certified (DACVIM – Small Animal Internal Medicine) or board-eligible in Small Animal Internal Medicine

• Eligible for veterinary licensure in Wisconsin

• Clinically confident managing complex, challenging, and often multisystem cases

• Skilled in developing thoughtful diagnostic and treatment plans while communicating clearly with clients and referring veterinarians

• Comfortable with advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures appropriate to specialty Internal Medicine practice

• A strong collaborator who values working alongside emergency veterinarians and veterinary specialists across multiple disciplines

• An effective communicator who can guide clients through complicated diagnoses, treatment options, prognosis, and ongoing care

• A leader and mentor who enjoys developing veterinarians, interns, technicians, and members of the patient-care team

• Committed to evidence-based medicine, continuous learning, and advancing the standard of specialty veterinary care

• Someone who values accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and a healthy hospital culture
