Job description

Friendship Hospital for Animals (FHA) is a large, full-service veterinary hospital providing specialty, emergency, and primary care for pets. Our team includes board-certified specialists in surgery, internal medicine, oncology, neurology, cardiology, dermatology, and more. Alongside these specialty services, our hospital is committed to providing high-quality primary and integrative care - combining traditional veterinary medicine with complementary therapies when appropriate.
Position SummaryWe are hiring a full-time Integrative Veterinary Medicine Doctor to provide compassionate, holistic care for our general and integrative patients. You will deliver routine wellness and preventive care while also offering integrative modalities - nutrition, rehab, acupuncture, and more - for patients and families seeking a whole-pet approach. We prioritize a joint approach to patient care, collaborating heavily with our primary care and rehabilitation teams.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Examine, diagnose, and treat pets for routine wellness care, illness, and injury.
  • Develop and manage individualized treatment plans combining conventional medicine and integrative therapies (nutrition, physical rehab, acupuncture, etc.).
  • Perform routine procedures (vaccinations, wellness visits, diagnostics, follow-ups) and integrative follow-up care.
  • Collaborate with specialists and hospital staff to coordinate care when needed.
  • Provide client education on preventive health, nutrition, lifestyle, and wellness.
  • Maintain clear, compassionate, and timely client communication.
  • Document all patient interactions and treatments thoroughly in medical records.
