Job description

Bailey Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our team and support both outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry.
We are seeking a versatile, client-focused technician who thrives in a dynamic general practice environment - balancing exam room care, client communication, and hands-on procedural support. We value credentialed technicians for the clinical knowledge, judgment, and communication skills they bring across all areas of the hospital, helping elevate the quality of medicine, client experience, and patient care.
In this position, you will play a key role in both outpatient and procedural workflows, contributing to a consistent, high standard of care throughout the patient visit.
This is a flexible position with flexible hours and availability generally needed Monday-Sunday.
Responsibilities include:

  • Performing anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
  • Performing dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography
  • Maintaining accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation
  • Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
  • Identifying patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospital
Schedule and compensation:
Compensation:$24-27 per hour, for each hour worked
This is a full-time position, with a flexible schedule and availability needed generally Monday-Sunday.

Minimum qualifications and skill set:
  • Active and good-standing Certified Veterinary Technician in the state of Oregon**
  • 3+ years of experience as a CVT
  • Proficiency in the following skills:
    • Patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring
    • Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery
    • Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
    • Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement
    • Medication administration and accurate drug calculations
    • Laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostic testing
    • Accurate medical record documentation
    • Safe, low-stress patient handling and restraint techniques
    • Client education and communication
    • Effective teamwork and professional communication skills
    • Commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous learning

**Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and licensure, or out-of-state license-holders who are eligible to transfer a license, are also encouraged to apply
