Here is What Your day May Consist of:
  • Patient Care & Nursing – Provide compassionate, high-quality care for patients, including monitoring vitals, administering treatments, and assisting in recovery.
  • Medical & Surgical Assistance – Assist in surgeries, anesthesia induction and monitoring, dental procedures, and emergency interventions.
  • Laboratory & Diagnostics – Perform blood draws, IV catheter placement, in-house lab testing (hematology, urinalysis, cytology), and diagnostic imaging (radiographs, ultrasounds).
  • Pharmacy & Medication Management – Calculate, prepare, and administer medications (oral, injectable, IV fluids) as directed by veterinarians.
  • Client Communication & Education – Discuss treatment plans, provide post-care instructions, and educate pet parents on preventative care.
  • Medical Record Keeping – Maintain accurate patient records, including treatments, diagnostics, and progress notes.
  • Emergency & Critical Care – Recognize and respond to urgent situations, assist in CPR, and provide supportive care for hospitalized patients.
  • Animal Handling & Restraint – Ensure safe, low-stress handling techniques for a variety of species.
  • Technology & Equipment Use – Operate and maintain diagnostic and medical equipment, including anesthesia machines and digital radiography.
  • Teamwork – Work collaboratively with veterinarians and fellow technicians to ensure the highest standard of care.


Here is What You Will Bring to the Position:
  • Completion of an AVMA accredited Veterinary Technology program 
  • Externship or clinical experience 
  • Current RVT license
