Pacific CARE Pet Emergency & Specialty is expanding its specialty services and is excited to welcome Dentistry to our growing team. This is a unique opportunity for a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Dentist to establish and shape a new service within a thriving multispecialty hospital, with the support of an experienced clinical team and established referral community.

Located in Irvine, Pacific CARE is a 12,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art multispecialty and 24/7 emergency hospital offering Emergency & Critical Care, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Oncology, and Cardiology. This depth of specialty medicine creates natural opportunities for collaboration and comprehensive case management, particularly for patients with complex or concurrent medical conditions.

The hospital is equipped with advanced technology to support specialty medicine, including CT, ultrasound, two surgery suites, ICU and isolation capabilities, high-flow oxygen, and minimally invasive surgical and scoping equipment. You'll have the opportunity to leverage these resources while helping define the future of Dentistry at Pacific CARE.

In your day-to-day, you will:

  • Establish and grow Pacific CARE's new Dentistry service
  • Diagnose and manage complex oral and dental conditions across a diverse referral population
  • Perform advanced dental procedures and oral surgery within your area of expertise
  • Utilize advanced imaging and diagnostic capabilities, including CT and other hospital resources, to support comprehensive dental case management
  • Collaborate with Emergency & Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, and Cardiology on shared patients
  • Develop strong relationships with referring veterinarians and serve as a trusted Dentistry resource for the Orange County community
  • Help shape workflows, protocols, and the future growth of the Dentistry service
  • Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care
  • Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners throughout diagnosis and treatment
  • Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning

What You Bring

  • DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for California veterinary licensure
  • Board Certification in Veterinary Dentistry (DAVDC) or residency trained in Veterinary Dentistry and board eligible
  • Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care
  • A passion for continuous learning, teamwork, and advancing specialty medicine
  • An interest in building and growing a Dentistry referral service
