Orchard Veterinary Hospital is Hiring a Veterinary Assistant!

Position Details
Role: Experienced Veterinary Assistant
Status: Full-time
Salary: $19.00–$21.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.; no nights, weekends, or holidays!

What You’ll Do

  • Assist veterinarians during exams and procedures with confidence and care
  • Provide gentle, effective animal restraint and help keep patients calm and safe
  • Support our doctors and technicians by preparing and maintaining exam rooms and treatment areas
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients to ensure they feel informed and supported
  • Perform lab work, pharmacy duties, and sample collection as needed
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure equipment is cleaned and ready for use
  • Deliver excellent customer service while helping our team run smoothly and efficiently
  • Embrace the occasional “cat rodeo” with safe, skilled handling
