Leadership Opportunity in a Growing Specialty Hospital 

Dogwood Veterinary Specialty & Emergency is a leading 24/7 emergency and specialty veterinary hospital serving the Greater Atlanta area, dedicated to delivering compassionate, advanced medical care to pets and their families. 

Our team of emergency clinicians, board-certified specialists, veterinary technicians, and support professionals work collaboratively to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced referral hospital environment. 

As Dogwood continues to grow and expand to an additional hospital site in the Atlanta area, we are seeking Practice Manager to help support hospital operations, team leadership, and clinical workflow coordination during this exciting period of growth. 

This role is ideal for a hands-on operational leader who enjoys being present on the hospital floor, supporting team members, improving workflows, and helping ensure the hospital runs smoothly day to day. 
The Practice Manager will work closely with the Hospital Administrator and medical leadership team to support daily hospital operations, team engagement, and departmental coordination. 

This role will play a key part in supporting clinical teams, strengthening operational consistency, and helping guide the hospital through an exciting phase of growth and expansion. 
Practice Managers are visible leaders within the hospital, supporting technicians, assistants, and client service teams while helping ensure a positive experience for both patients and team members.
Hiring Timeline 

Dogwood is actively building leadership capacity to support our continued growth. 
Sourcing and interviews will begin in April 2026, with a target hire completion by July 2026
Clinical Operations & Floor Leadership 
  • Provide daily operational support within the hospital, helping coordinate workflows across departments 
  • Serve as a visible leadership presence on the hospital floor 
  • Support technicians, assistants, and client service teams with workflow management and patient flow 
  • Help address operational challenges in real time to ensure efficient hospital operations 
  • Assist with maintaining high standards of patient care and client experience 
Team Support & Leadership 
  • Help mentor and support technicians, assistants, and client service representatives 
  • Promote a collaborative and respectful team culture 
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members 
  • Assist with scheduling coordination and staffing support 
  • Help reinforce hospital policies, procedures, and expectations 
Operational Coordination 
  • Partner with the Hospital Administrator to implement operational improvements 
  • Help support departmental communication across clinical and administrative teams 
  • Assist with tracking hospital metrics and operational performance 
  • Support hospital initiatives related to efficiency, workflow optimization, and team engagement 
Experience 
  • 2-5 years of leadership experience in a veterinary hospital or healthcare environment 
  • Previous experience in emergency or specialty veterinary medicine strongly preferred 
  • Demonstrated ability to support teams in a fast-paced, high-acuity hospital setting 
Education 
  • Veterinary Technology degree, Business Management degree, or equivalent professional experience 
Preferred Qualifications 
  • RVT / LVT / CVT 
  • CVPM certification 
  • Previous team leadership or supervisory experience 
  • Experience in ER or specialty veterinary hospitals
