Client Service Representative at VCA Cedar View Animal Hospital
Who We Are:
VCA Cedar View Animal Hospital, located in Apple Valley, Minnesota, has been a pioneer in the veterinary community for over 40 years. Our four-doctor practice works hard to deliver the best medical care for our patients.
We are proudly an AAHA-accredited hospital providing Preventative/Routine medical care. In addition to our general Veterinary services, we offer advanced services such as orthopedic surgeries, advanced soft tissue surgeries, ultrasounds, and specialty dermatology visits on-site through outside specialists.
Schedule: Full-time opportunities, with flexible scheduling.
Compensation: $ 16.49 to $18.50 / hr. Starting range is determined by skill set and years of experience in the field. Financial growth opportunities available.
Why We Need You
As the face of VCA, the Client Service Representative sets the tone for the practice as we build and maintain each customer's trust and confidence in our abilities. The CSR is the pivot around which the hospital operates and is responsible for:
  • Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms.
  • Scheduling and confirming appointments.
  • Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients.
  • Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments.
  • Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions.
  • Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control).
  • Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.
  • Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times-both inside and outside.

Requirements:
  • A passion for animals and a strong desire to provide exceptional care and support
  • Previous experience in a veterinary, animal care, or customer service setting is a plus, but not required - we're happy to train the right candidate!
  • Strong communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Willingness to learn new skills and grow within the veterinary field
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
