Job Duties
Serve Virginia's veterans and their family members by ensuring they receive the benefits, support, quality care, and recognition they have earned through service and sacrifice.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be familiar with all cemetery grounds maintenance procedures and practices; to include all operations including section maps, pins and gravesite numbering system for laying out each site. Must be aware of preventative maintenance in relationship to the cemeteries light and heavy equipment including the operation of power hand tools, plastering, plumbing, and roof repairs and carpentry. Ability to lift/maneuver a 220-pound grave marker with the help of one additional person.
Additional Considerations
Any combination of education and job experience that leads to the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed above. High school education/GED or cemetery experience of six (6) months. The position requires a valid Virginia driver's license.
