What jobs can you get as a vet?

As a veterinarian, you can work in private clinics, animal hospitals, research laboratories, zoos, or wildlife conservation organizations. Common roles include small animal, large animal, exotic animal, or emergency veterinarians, often requiring licensing and specialized skills. Additional positions include veterinary technicians, animal health consultants, and roles in pharmaceutical or diagnostic companies.

What vet job gets paid the most?

These positions often require advanced training, certifications, and experience, and can earn significantly more than general practice veterinarians.

Is 30 too late to be a vet?

Becoming a veterinarian typically requires completing a bachelor's degree followed by a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program, which usually takes several years. While most students enter veterinary school in their early to mid-20s, it is possible to become a vet at 30 or older, as many veterinary schools accept non-traditional students who bring diverse experiences and skills.

What jobs can a vet do?
