Job description

Main Function:
The CT Technologist performs CT scan examinations and coordinates patient flow and CT scanner activities to ensure timely, safe, and accurate imaging. This position also performs X-ray imaging for inpatients, outpatients, Emergency Department, and Operating Room patients, working closely with physicians and clinical teams to support high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform CT and X-ray examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols.

Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.

Coordinate patient scheduling and flow to maximize efficiency.

Operate imaging equipment and perform quality control checks to ensure optimal image quality.

Administer contrast media, perform venipuncture, and place IV lines as required.

Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to all regulatory and safety standards.

Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and nursing staff to support patient care.

Education & Certification Requirements:

Valid State of Connecticut license.

ARRT certification in Computed Tomography and Radiography (CT, R).

Current CPR certification.

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience & Skills:

Minimum 2 years CT experience required.

Proficiency in venipuncture and IV placement required.

Phlebotomy and EKG experience preferred.

Strong patient care, communication, and organizational skills.

Work Schedule:

Per Diem – Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
