Managing database systems in AWS.  Table and database schema architecture

Normalization of database schema

Query creation and optimization.  Index creation, management and optimization. Stored procedures, prepared statements, triggers, indexing, datawarehousing, etc.

PHP programming - scripting, database extraction and model layers.  SQL programming.  Recommend and implement best practices in queryand schema architecture, Smoke and Load Testing, etc etc

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of MySQL and SQL. Should have interest in learning about data and experience working with column based databases like Vertica and open to NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.

Expertise with MySQL 5.x running in a Linux 24x7 production environments

Strong knowledge of Linux fundamentals

Strong knowledge of Database Thery and concepts

Strong scripting and analytical skills

Expertise in writing complex and elegant SQL queies

Experience with MySQL Security and performance tuning
