Job description

Your servers are the backbone of everything we build. If you're the type who geeks out over a clean Active Directory structure, takes pride in a well-architected virtualization environment, and wants to be part of a team that actually values IT, not just tolerates it, we want to talk. In turn, we work hard to take care of our own with excellent benefits and pay, personal development, and transparent communication. We also know that you can be great at what you do and still have fun.

We're the #1 Ignition integrator globally and were just named 2026 System Integrator of the Year by Control Engineering. Now we're expanding our IT team to keep pace with our growth, and you could be the next addition.

  • Weekly communication from management in our internally famous Friday morning meeting

  • A really rad Christmas Party each year

  • A path for growth, a great culture, PTO, AND MORE!

What You Will Be Doing

As a Systems Administrator I, you'll work alongside our senior sys admin to keep Vertech's internal infrastructure running smoothly and support our clients' industrial computer systems. This is a hands-on technical role focused on building, maintaining, and securing the systems our team depends on every day.

  • Build, configure, and manage Windows Server environments (2016, 2019, 2022)

  • Administer and maintain Active Directory, including user accounts, group policies, DNS, and DHCP

  • Manage server virtualization platforms (Hyper-V and VMware), including provisioning, snapshots, and capacity planning

  • Architect and implement server hardware configurations for both internal and client environments

  • Support and manage Office 365 services including Microsoft Teams

  • Provide internal helpdesk support

  • Assist with implementation and support of client industrial computer systems

  • Assist with system audits and vulnerability assessments at customer facilities

What You Need for This Position

  • 1-3 years of experience in systems administration, IT infrastructure, or a related technical role

  • Solid understanding of Windows Server builds and management

  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP
