Job Summary

We are looking for a customer-focused individual to join our parts team in Fishers, IN.ย  We offer paid, on-the-job training to prepare you for success.ย  In this role, you will perform a variety of in-store customer service, promoting, and stocking duties related to receiving, sale, and delivery of parts and accessories. There is extensive contact with external customers, both in-person and over the phone. Additionally, you will be working with a number of Technicians and our service department under general supervision.

Essential Functions

  • Reading catalogs, schematics and computer displays in order to determine replacement part/s and pricing.
  • Determining replacements part(s) required according to inspection of old parts, customersโ€™ request or customersโ€™ description of malfunction.
  • Receiving shipments of order, placing machine down and stock orders.
  • Taking a complete inventory, marking and storing parts according to prearranged systems.
  • Examining parts for defects, and exchange of defective parts.
  • Advising customers on substitution or modification of parts.
  • Receiving and filling telephone orders.
  • Filling customer orders from stock.
  • Preparing invoices, pic-packs and sales receiptsย 

Non-Essential Functions

  • Placing new merchandise on display.
  • Receiving payment and handle petty cash.
  • Preparing and maintaining records and reports.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with employees, other agencies and the public.
  • Operating a forklift in a safe, effective manner and in accordance with the safety policy.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in a customer service position is preferred.ย 
  • Prior experience working a parts counter is a plus.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is Strongly preferred.ย 
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including (but not limited to); CDK, Microsoft Office and internet functions.
  • Effectively handle lifting various objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
