The Sales Manager with The Restaurant Store is responsible for developing and maintaining an effective sales culture for a retail branch location. Under direction of the Branch Manager, the Sales Manager is responsible for accomplishing a variety of sales goals through effective day-to-day strategies that align with our merchandising, order fulfillment, and inventory teams to ensure customers are satisfied with their TRS experience.

• Support sales growth within the location’s market by collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve company-defined metrics and advance key sales initiatives 
• Develop and maintain extensive product knowledge while leading and/or delegating product training within the branch location 
• Develop and train the local sales team with a sales-minded focus that promotes customer satisfaction 
• Manage the internal quote system, coordinating on-site visits and ensuring timely customer follow-up with accurate, up-to-date quotes. 
• Understand and utilize a deep understanding of DiSC profiling to build a cohesive and high-performing team 
• Support year-over-year membership growth at all levels within the local market 
• Manage customer sales issues as needed 
• Create and identify marketing leads and opportunities within the local market that support future growth 
• Communicate with Branch / Assistant Branch Manager(s) to identify charitable organizations to support within the local market 
• Manage building safety by holding keys to the building and using alarm codes as outlined in company policy 
• Perform additional tasks and support initiatives as assigned by management to ensure smooth location operations and alignment with overall business goals 
• Maintain the overall cleanliness of the store 

• Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 9 hours/day.
• Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
• Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
• Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
• Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.

• Proficiency with MS Office required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and experience with CRM systems and project management tools 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical and complex concepts in a simple and concise way to ensure ease of understanding 
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
• Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change; ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence 
• Service leadership approach with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations 

This role does not require a degree. We value relevant skills and experience and alignment with our core values above all else.

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in retail sales management with a specific focus on restaurant supply and/or food and beverage services 
• Associate’s degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
