Job Description
Supporting the US Army via the S3I Software Mission Assurance contract
Develops and manages the process of verifying that system and software products operate and comply with requirements and/or design. Coordinates test process including test requirements, planning, execution, and reporting. Provides technical expertise in testing and product knowledge, writes test procedures and develops test plans.
Configures necessary hardware and operating environments as needed to complete assigned testing, and provides technical know-how on particular products, operating systems and specialized environments. Performs evaluations of various software related products and covers assessments of software products through all phases of the development life cycle, including software specifications, design verification, coding, testing and results data validation.
Supports customer needs and travels as required. Utilizes organizational skills and possesses the ability to work well with others. Exercises strong written and oral communication skills, and multi-tasks with strong attention to detail and excellent follow-through skills.
Qualifications
Required
  • BS in related field; or ABET accredited BS in an Engineering discipline
  • Minimum 1 year related experience including experience with software/system testing activities
  • Experience regression testing and performance testing
  • Knowledge of military and software development industry standards, software test methodologies, software requirement generation and maintenance
  • Some travel
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance

Desired
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with the IEEE 1012-1998 Standard for Software Verification and Validation
  • Experience with systems and interoperability-level testing of various systems
  • Generation of test report documentation
  • Experience with Static Code Analyzers (e.g: Fortify, Coverity, etc.)
  • Previous Experience with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience with C/C++, Ada, or other programming languages
