Job description

Veolia has acquired Clean Earth. As Clean Earth completes its integration into Veolia, recruiting and hiring for this role is being managed in partnership with the Clean Earth talent acquisition team. Veolia in North America is the top-ranked environmental company in the United States for three consecutive years, and the country’s largest private water operator and technology provider as well as hazardous waste and pollution treatment leader. It offers a full spectrum of water, waste, and energy management services, including water and wastewater treatment, commercial and hazardous waste collection and disposal, energy consulting and resource recovery. Veolia helps commercial, industrial, healthcare, higher education and municipality customers throughout North America. This role will Assist driver with onsite segregation of waste and packaging and videotaping and destruction of DEA Controls.

Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
  • Act as a witness at customer locations where DEA controlled substances are involved.
  • Ride along with a CDL Driver to assist with duties at their stops.
  • Video the destruction process of DEA controlled substances and upload video into employer system.
  • Requires up to 75% overnight travel based on routes
  • Load containers and supplies to truck for daily service stops
  • May assist in maintaining inventory and storage of hazardous materials in accordance with appropriate regulations and policies, practices, and procedures.    
  • Follow all Health & Safety/Job Safety Analysis (JSA's) procedures as outlined in procedures and policies.    
  • Complete paperwork legibly, accurately, and in a timely manner.    
  • Performs related work and additional duties as requested or assigned by supervisor/manager.
  • Regular contact with external customers and different levels of personnel on a daily basis.
  • Candidate must meet all requirements for handling DEA regulated waste.
  • Drive non-DOT regulated vehicle to customer sites to witness regulated waste collection as needed.
  • High school diploma or GED. 

Preferred Qualifications:
  • One or more years related experience preferred.
  • Knowledge OSHA Regulations.
  • Proficiency with Windows based programs (i.e. Excel and Word).
  • Ability to operate a powered industrial truck, e.g., forklift.  
  • Clean driving record.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow procedures.
