Job description

Job Purpose
This position supports safe, efficient, and compliant laboratory operations at the Emperor Boulevard site by managing daily laboratory logistics, facilities coordination, equipment support, vendor interactions, and administrative tasks. This role also performs calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation to help ensure equipment remains in a state of control and fit for its intended use in the non-GMP research environment. They coordinate vendor services, oversee maintenance, and handle security protocols to support daily business operations
Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing sample shipments, perform sample logging and tracking, and manage shipments and receiving
  • Coordinate and perform internal and external safety and equipment inspections and testing
  • Support environmental monitoring activities and maintain required documentation
  • Coordinate laboratory equipment maintenance, repair, and calibration activities
  • Perform corrective and preventative maintenance calibrations on laboratory instrumentation and equipment
  • Perform maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of electrical circuits, components, and analytical laboratory instruments
  • Enter and update CMMS system information relevant to calibrations performed
  • Provide recommendations for instrumentation and metrology spare parts and preventative maintenance procedures
  • Work closely with R&D scientific teams at Emperor Boulevard to help ensure instrumentation remains compliant and fit for its intended use in the non-GMP research environment
  • Support calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrumentation used in bioanalytical, research biology, and in vitro testing at Emperor Boulevard
  • Assist in the maintenance and review of calibration standards and vendor calibration documentation
  • Work with contract service providers and support contractors executing calibration and metrology activities
  • Track equipment status, managing laboratory asset records
  • Manage compressed gas cylinders and liquid nitrogen, including safety checks and inventory
  • Perform daily and weekly building walks to identify maintenance or safety issues
  • Escort facility and laboratory vendors as required
  • Support generator maintenance and review service agreements
  • Support general building needs and unscheduled facilities visits
  • Coordinate refrigeration preventative maintenance with vendors and departments
  • Manage glassware cleaning operations

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Familiarity with chemical and biohazard waste handling procedures
  • Experience coordinating vendors and managing service schedules
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills
  • Experience with CMMS, inventory systems, and ERP tools (e.g., NetSuite) preferred
  • Experience with instrumentation calibration, maintenance, or troubleshooting of laboratory equipment preferred
  • Ability to recognize what needs to be done, taking action, and accomplishing results as the situation demands
