Job description

Hansen Talent Group has a unique opportunity for an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead enterprise software development and transformation initiatives within a structured PMO environment. This hybrid role supports high-visibility projects focused on application development, platform modernization, migrations, and AI integrations.

The Senior IT Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing multiple SDLC projects focused on new development, platform shifts, and AI integrations while ensuring adherence to PMO governance standards and project delivery expectations.

Duties:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and leadership to define project scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, risk management plans, status reports, and project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage multiple concurrent software development and application-focused projects from initiation through implementation and business acceptance.
  • Track project budgets, billing hours, resource allocation, risks, and key milestones to ensure successful delivery.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources, including vendor partners, to meet project objectives and timelines.
  • Facilitate project governance activities and ensure compliance with established PMO methodologies, standards, and documentation requirements.
  • Communicate project status, risks, issues, and scope changes to stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Lead teams operating within a hybrid Waterfall and Agile environment, ensuring alignment across business and technical groups.
  • Drive process improvements and project delivery efficiencies across assigned initiatives.
  • Support strategic initiatives including application modernization, platform migrations, digital experiences, and AI-related projects.

Qualifications:

  • Strong enterprise project management experience leading software development and SDLC projects.
  • Experience working within structured PMO environments and governance frameworks.
  • Proven vendor management and third-party engagement experience.
  • Budget management, project financial tracking, and resource planning experience.
  • Strong understanding of both Waterfall and Agile project methodologies.
  • Experience managing projects in large, matrixed enterprise environments.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Experience presenting project updates and recommendations to executive audiences.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, risk management, and problem-solving skills.
