Job Description Summary
This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of all equipment located within the production area of the facility and for performing maintenance functions throughout the plant as assigned or directed by supervisory personnel, while working under limited supervision.Job Description
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
Education/ Certifications:(Required & Preferred)
High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, andpercentage.Must read,write,and communicate in English.
Skills andExperience:
Have the ability and willingness to follow instructions.
Must haveeffective communicationskills, both written and oral.
Musthave basic computer skills.
Musthavebasic troubleshooting skills.
Must be able to complete work assignments with limited supervision.
Understand the basics andhave the ability tolearn to weld and use cutting torches.
Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Properly useall basic hand tools, power hand tools, and shop tools (not to include machine tools).
Perform basic plumbing runs and repairs.
Be knowledgeable of basic mechanical nomenclature.
Perform basic sheet metal layout and fabrication.
Be knowledgeable of the potential hazards and safety procedures associated with the task.
Mustmaintaincompanyconfined spaceauthorization(attendant and entrant.)
Must be able tooperatea forklift and man lift in a safe manner. Requires plant certification.
Knowledge of tools

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Will work in all areas of the plant, both inside and outside during any andall-weatherconditions.
Willregularly worknear moving mechanical parts, around electricalequipment,and open circuits.
May work on wet, muddy, icy, or greasy floors.
Isexposed tohot andhumid conditions as well as coldand breezyenvironments ranging fromsubzerotoover130F.
May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration.
Willregularly workin an environment in which the noise level isusually high.

Must be able to lift, push, and pull heavy items.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds six feet above the ground.
Must be able to stand, bend, squat, kneel, reach above shoulders, climb ladders and crawl in tight and awkward workplaces for extended periods of time.
