ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drives up to 10 (ten) new vehicles daily from yard or around busy site into the processing area of the warehouse
  • Installs accessories as required by vehicle manufacturer according to company standards and procedures using appropriate tools and machinery
  • Ensures quality of vehicle inspections after processing by completing an accurate assessment of the vehicle within standard company criteria and within customer- provided quality criteria
  • Delivers feedback to the assembly team to clearly explain deficiencies, damage, or issues with new vehicles
  • Attaches stickers and tags vehicles as instructed
  • Practices and promotes company core values and compliance with company occupational health and safety policy and procedure
  • Completes other duties as may be assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Valid driver license
  • Must consent to pre-employment Drug and Alcohol screening and Criminal Background Check
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Minimum 6 months of previous continuous employment
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions and get dirty at times
  • Must be able to get in and out of vehicles with little effort, as well as drive multiple vehicles during the day, safely and effectively; must be able to stand, walk up to 10,000 (ten thousand) steps per day, bend, and twist, for prolonged periods of time
  • Must be able to drive automatic transmission vehicles. (Ability to drive manual transmission a plus but not necessary)
  • Ability to easily follow written and verbal directions
  • Ability to work cooperatively with co-workers and to be a reliable team player
  • Experience or knowledge of automotive inspection is a plus but not required
  • Must be able to perform the essential job functions, with or without a reasonable accommodations

COMPENSATION: Starting at $19.00/hr ; $20.20/hr when eligible for union membership

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or GED

Eligibility to participate in company 401(k) plan and to join Teamsters Union and Union Health and Benefit Plans as well as generous paid time off after successfully completing a 4 month probationary period.
