The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for supervising, staffing, training, and overseeing the successful operation of all locations within the Region. Responsible for financial performance and maintains profit and loss statement.

Responsibilities
  • Follows and enforces all OSHA and Safety Standards set forth by the company policy and procedure manuals.
  • Oversees all training programs that are pertinent to the locations and/or Region.
  • Maintains a profitable business unit; achieve all budgeted goals.
  • Ensures new employee orientation and onboarding is performed successfully.
  • Physically attend and actively participate in the Business Review process and meetings with the leadership team, providing insights, updates, and strategic input to support business objectives and decision-making.
  • Coordinates and assists in the hiring of General Managers.
  • Works with recruiting team to ensure steady flow of applications.
  • Attends technical school job fairs and other recruiting activities.
  • Fills in as the General Manager at locations when needed.
  • Performs inventory audits and correct inventory issues.
  • Assists in maintaining proper product levels at all locations.
  • Fluent with POS system along with some knowledge of computers, printer and their operation.
  • Reviews employee scheduling to ensure coverage, fairness, and consistency.
  • Resolves warranty claims as they arise and direct through proper channels.
  • Performs compliance inspections and ensure that operational standards are maintained.
  • Coordinates with maintenance and construction teams to ensure all equipment and facilities are well maintained.
  • Communicates with the Sales & Marketing team as required.
  • Performs routine market evaluations throughout assigned Region.
  • Ensures a high level of cleanliness is maintained at all shops and company vehicles.
  • Evaluates locations' Profit and Loss statements and assist General Manager in addressing opportunities.
  • Develops, implements, and executes sales strategies to grow business.
  • Evaluates expenses and margins at locations to assure they are reaching their budgeted goals.
  • Assists in evaluating, setting budgets and operating within budgetary guidelines.
  • Ensures all shop personnel act and look professional in accordance with the policy manual.
  • Provides friendly and competent customer service.
  • Reports for work in a timely manner when scheduled.
  • Follows Safety Manual & Policy/Procedure manual as described.
  • Ensures personal and location LMS training stays current and up to date.

Additional Job Duties:
  • Assist with other duties, as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Directly supervise 5 or more Service Center Managers.

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience (include certs or licenses needed):
  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or five to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must have a working knowledge of the shop industry.
  • Must have some knowledge of the tire industry.
  • Must have the ability to read and understand monthly P&L statements.
  • Must have the ability to read, follow, and implement budget controls.
  • Must have reliable transportation and phone.
  • Current valid driver's license and be insurable to drive.
  • Work a minimum of 50 hours per week consisting of some 6 or 7 day work weeks with the bulk of time in the facilities.
  • Able to work weekends, holidays, and as needed.
  • Must be able to communicate in English. - IF APPLICABLE
  • Able and willing to deliver friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service.
  • Able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members.
  • Ability to travel by air as needed for business meetings, business review, conferences, and other work-related events.
  • Willingness and ability to travel; hotel stays are required at minimum of 50% of the time.
