Vehicle Inventory Buyer
Location: Northwest Ohio
A fast-growing automotive retailer operating two high-volume dealerships in Northwest Ohio is seeking a Vehicle Inventory Buyer to help source and acquire quality used vehicle inventory.
This role is critical to maintaining strong inventory levels and identifying profitable buying opportunities across multiple sourcing channels as the company continues to expand. This position will report directly to the Inventory Manager.
Responsibilities
  • Purchase used vehicle inventory through auctions, fleet sources, and private sellers
  • Evaluate vehicles for condition, reconditioning costs, and resale potential
  • Analyze market pricing and demand trends
  • Identify profitable buying opportunities across multiple sourcing channels
  • Attend online auctions including Manheim, ADESA, and other digital marketplaces
  • Source vehicles directly from the public through buy-center opportunities
  • Maintain a balanced inventory mix of high-demand vehicles
  • Work with management to maintain a fast-turning inventory portfolio across two stores
Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of used vehicle pricing and valuation
  • Experience purchasing vehicles at dealer auctions preferred
  • Ability to make fast, confident purchasing decisions
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • High attention to detail when evaluating vehicle condition
  • 3+ years of Automotive dealership or wholesale experience preferred
