Job description
The Motor Vehicle Dealer Board seeks a Recovery Fund Analyst to administer claims filed against the Motor Vehicle Transaction Recovery Fund. The role involves comprehensive research and analysis of claim documentation, developing recommendations for payment, reduction, or denial of claims, and serving as a resource for consumers, dealers, and attorneys. The position also supports management on complex research matters and assists with data entry, financial reconciliation, and administrative functions.
Key qualifications:- Knowledge of administrative law, regulations, and professional licensing procedures
- Ability to interpret and implement law and regulation, including the Virginia Administrative Process Act
- Ability to assess court documents and apply statutory limits
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and personal computer use
- Demonstrated ability to compose clear professional correspondence and conduct legal analysis
- Strong communication skills with understanding of statutory responsibilities
