Job description

Richard Chevrolet is seeking an Automotive Collision Damage Estimator for its growing  Collision Center. We recently expanded from 6,000 square feet to over 16,000 square feet making Richard Chevrolet a 50,000 square foot mega dealership and the largest Chevrolet dealership in Connecticut. The expansion allows the dealership to handle more volume and deliver quicker turnaround by doubling its vehicle bay capacity, having two new state-of-the art paint booths, a cutting-edge paint mixing room, and a prep deck.

The right candidate will have experience with writing estimates and communicating with insurance companies as it pertains to the automotive industry. The position also performs a wide range of administrative and support functions, including, but not limited to, answering incoming calls, greeting walk-in customers, creating and distributing follow up correspondence and communication, working with industry-specific software and ensuring that our customers are satisfied and updated. The right candidate needs to be organized, well spoken, have an attention to detail, positive attitude, and upbeat demeanor. 

This is a full-time position. Pay is hourly plus monthly bonus. Pay varies on experience.

Requirements 
Required Knowledge/Skills/Job Qualifications:

  • 3 years estimating experience
  • Experience working in the automotive insurance industry
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communications skills are critical
  • Successful time management and organization skills (the ability to organize and coordinate a large number of concurrent tasks and projects)
  • Typing speed
  • Strong attention to detail, research, reasoning and analytical skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate patience, diplomacy and professionalism and maintain confidentiality regarding issues of a sensitive nature
  • Must have intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
