Job Description

The Sr. AI Developer, Engineering will design, build, and deploy the core application components of EVERSANAโ€™s AI Agency Platform โ€” a multi-tenant enterprise system that connects generative AI, workflow automation, and compliance controls to accelerate pharmaceutical brand operations.

This Sr. AI Developer, Engineering will be responsible for developing backend services, APIs, and front-end interfaces, integrating them seamlessly with third-party systems such as Veeva Vault, Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), SharePoint, Snowflake, and Google Cloudโ€™s Vertex AI stack.

The ideal candidate combines handsโ€‘on technical skills, system integration experience, and a deep understanding of data-driven, secure platform engineering.

Qualifications

Application Development

  • Design and implement backend services and APIs using Python (FastAPI, Flask, or similar frameworks).
  • Build modern, responsive front-end applications using React, Next.js, or Vue.js, ensuring scalability and usability.
  • Develop orchestration workflows connecting AI agents, compliance services, and data pipelines.
  • Implement robust error handling, logging, and retry mechanisms for reliable agent execution.
  • Collaborate with AI/ML Engineers to integrate model endpoints (LLMs, RAG systems, Vertex AI Agents).

Integration & Connectors

  • Build and maintain system connectors to enterprise tools such as:
    • Veeva Vault / PromoMats (for MLR workflows)
    • Google Cloud Vertex AI & Orchestrate (for agent execution)
    • SharePoint / SFMC / Adobe Experience Cloud (for asset management and deployment)
    • Snowflake / BigQuery (for analytics and data pipelines)
  • Ensure secure authentication and authorization across all integrations using OAuth2, service accounts, and RBAC.
  • Partner with Data Engineering to manage ETL/ELT pipelines feeding reporting dashboards.

Deployment & Orchestration

  • Build microservices and APIs that support multi-tenant scalability and environment isolation.
  • Collaborate with DevOps on containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Maintain code quality, testing coverage, and deployment reliability across environments (Dev, UAT, Prod).

Security & Compliance

  • Implement role-based access control (RBAC), audit logging, and encryption (at rest/in transit).
  • Work closely with the Compliance and Security teams to ensure HIPAA, GDPR, and SOC 2 adherence.
  • Ensure platform design meets pharma regulatory expectations for traceability and content integrity.
  • Partner with Product, UX, and QA teams in agile sprints to deliver features and fixes on schedule.
  • Translate business and functional requirements into robust, maintainable technical solutions.
  • Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and cross-functional demos.
  • Document system design, integration specs, and deployment procedures.
  • Modeling inclusive behaviors and proactively managing bias.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

  • 12+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer or Software Developer building enterprise-grade web applications.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and async programming.
  • Handsโ€‘on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration.
  • Working knowledge of SQL / NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and source control (GitHub).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 12+ years of experience in digital creative technology, AI prompt design, or content innovation.
  • Strong understanding of prompt engineering, LLMs, and natural language generation workflows.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Vertex AI, Gemini API, LangChain, or similar frameworks.
  • Background in creative or marketing technology (MarTech, AdTech, or AI-driven content systems).
  • Excellent understanding of brand tone, messaging frameworks, and pharma MLR considerations.
  • Exceptional writing, communication, and analytical skills.
