Job Description Supervises Vector Control for assigned area of responsibility (AOR). Coordinates an effective Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program that limits the potential exposure of site personnel to injury and disease from pest-borne vectors and utilizes the principles of preventative medicine and health promotion to optimize the health and wellness of site personnel. Supervises assigned aspects of the IPM program and vector control operations.

Key activities include an ongoing evaluation of site conditions (buildings, supplies, surrounding terrain) to identify and mitigate hazards with the potential to expose site personnel to injury or disease and/or subject site property and equipment to unacceptable levels of damage. Partners with other HSE team members to maintain an ongoing preventative medicine and health promotion campaign. Related functions involve education and training of site personnel on potential hazards and avoidance mechanisms, documentation and communication of identified hazards and any associated health or medical consequences, and consultation with site management regarding the design and implementation of facilities or improvements.

Coordinates with veterinary site representatives and DoD personnel in the trapping and transportation of feral animals and pesticide/herbicide application. May provide data to Automated Information Systems (AIS). Ensures that hazardous materials utilized in assigned vector control operations are transported, stored and used in compliance with Company and site requirements.

Additional activities include monitoring good sanitation practices, education of site personnel in proper exclusion practices, good housekeeping, and personal protection measures which address flies, biting insects, rodents, ants and other arthropod pests. Follows and requires safe work practices for subordinate personnel. Ensures that subordinates are properly trained to perform assigned job duties, and that work is being performed in conformance with client and company requirements.

Communicates project status, issues and requirements with site management and other functional leaders as appropriate. Completes all administrative requirements. Requires familiarity with, and compliance to host national regulatory guidance.

Performs duties in accordance with DoDI 4150.07-DoD and TB MED 561. Other duties as assigned. Basic Job Requirements High school diploma / GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and minimum of four (4) years related experience

Other Job Requirements Requires the job knowledge, skill level and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions. To ensure compliance with safety, health and security requirements in the contract, employee will possess the ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language at the intermediate level as necessary to perform assigned job functions. Requires DoD certification in Core Phase and Categories 6, 7 and 8, or equivalent U.S
